Protective systems for fragile ideas
PoetryGuard is an experimental writing utility designed to safeguard early drafts, shield vulnerable initial thoughts from instant critique, and resist the algorithmic urge to polish every raw sentence into beige homogeny.
Explored both as an interface study and in native SwiftUI code (under PoetryGuardUnified), it re-imagines the canvas as a protected grove where half-formed lines are permitted to breathe before being evaluated.
Why this project exists
Modern writing software is obsessed with aggressive auto-correction, grammar grading, readability scores, and LLM homogenization. PoetryGuard is built around constructive friction — protecting the idiosyncratic cadence, odd metaphors, syntactic risks, and rough edges of authentic human expression.
